Series 1 Touring – Rose

Original price was: £350.00.Current price is: £240.00.

The BPC Series 1 Touring board is recommended for beginner and intermediate paddlers. Its ergonomic design and pointed front ensure it cuts through the water which makes it perfect for handling tougher conditions. The Touring board is suitable for longer distance paddles where there are more waves, but the extra length does not take away from the overall stability of the board.

Each board comes with three handles for ease of movement into and out of the water. The stainless steel D-ring ensures you can keep your leash attached safely to keep you near your board at all times. The EVA non-slip foam decking provides a good stable foundation for all riders. All boards are designed for ease of transportation, and come with durable nylon bag, with wheely and backpack options. The package also comes with a lightweight carbon paddle as standard, which makes it significantly easier to manoeuvre your board on the water than traditional aluminium counterparts.

As well as using this boards in lakes and rivers, marinas and calm near-shore open waters, this paddleboard is also suitable for more challenging coastal paddles where riders could expect to encounter more waves. As always, you should check the weather conditions before any paddle to ensure it is safe to do so.

Inflation and Deflation

Here’s a quick guide on how to inflate and deflate your board:

  • Before inflation, ensure the valve is sitting out. When it is pressed down that means the valve is open, and the air will just release again once you take the pump out;
  • Inflation is pretty straight forward, using the high pressure pump takes about 4/5 minutes, ensure you keep checking the pump gauge to see the pressure throughout;
  • Inflate to around 15 PSI
  • When fully inflated, the board should feel stiff and firm;
  • Slide the rear fin into the underside of the board and secure with the clip;
  • Stick your life jacket on, attach the safety leash to the D-ring and enjoy your paddle!
  • When deflating, press the valve in lightly to slowly release the air. After about 30 seconds of slow release, press in fully and twist to the right to unlock fully and the board will deflate on its own.
  • Make sure all the air is out before rolling up lightly up for storage.

Maintenance

To get the longest life out of your board it is important to take care of it. After each use:

  • Wipe down any excess water / sand from your board, particularly if you have been in the sea;
  • Hose down with clean water to remove any excess grit and salt;
  • If you have sufficient storage in your house, it is best to keep your board inflated. When doing so, let around 2PSI out so the board is stored at just under paddling pressure;
  • Always check the pressure before going back to the water;
  • When deflating, press the valve in lightly to slowly release the air. After about 30 seconds of slow release, press in fully and twist to the right to unlock fully and the board will deflate on its own.
  • Make sure all the air is out before rolling up lightly up for storage;
  • Avoid getting sand into the valve;
  • Do not store in a humid place;
  • Keep out of long term contact with sunlight

Storage

If you aren’t planning to use your board for a while, we recommend following these four simple steps:

  • If you storing the board for a long period of time e.g. over the winter, the board should be cleaned thoroughly with clean water, and dried fully. If left wet in storage mould can grow and the seams will weaken.
  • We also encourage you to do the same for the paddle and pump, as often these will naturally get sandy through use;
  • When packing away, don’t feel you need to roll the board as tightly as possible as this will apply unneeded pressure to the seams. It is better to loosely role up the board to preserve the seams;
  • Always store in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
